If you donβt have a safe place to stay, or you might lose your home, there are people and programs in Waterloo Region who can help.
Do you need emergency shelter?
This number will connect you to shelter programs in Cambridge, Kitchener, and Waterloo. Staff can tell you where there is space and help you get there.
Are you in an unsafe or abusive home?
If you are experiencing violence at home and it's no longer safe to stay, contact Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo region:

Experiencing sexual exploitation and you need help to leave?
Contact the Anti-Human Trafficking Program of the Sexual Assault Support Centre (SASC) 24-hour support line below or email at ahtp@sascwr.org from Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
If you are at risk of losing your housing
You can get help to:
- Pay rent or utility bills in an emergency
- Work with your landlord to solve problems
- Find new housing if you need to move
If you need support while housed
Some programs can help you keep your home by:
- Visiting you where you live
- Connecting you to health care, food, and other services
- Helping with forms, benefits, and ID
